Unfortunately, trees are not (yet) one of our own priorities. 😉
But who plants the trees?
We're incredibly happy to have found the perfect partner for reforesting vital forests with Onreplanted . When Livom launched, we knew we not only wanted to sell great, sustainable furniture, but also to do something good for the environment with every order.
When we came across OneTreeplanted, it was immediately clear to us that we wanted to work with this very organization, because it is involved in the world and is now seeking an incredible number of projects.
OnePePeplanted is a non-profit organization with a vital mission that we are entitled to: global reforestation and the preservation of important habitats. The dedication of the many employees and volunteers at oneTereeplanted allows us to easily do something good for the environment.
The US-based nonprofit organization has existed since 2014 and is growing in popularity. In 2020, OneTreeplanted planted more than 10 million new trees in over 28 countries and on six continents.

Wondering what will happen after you place your order?
When you order from us, we each donate a portion of the proceeds to onePeplanted. These donations allow onePeplanted to plant new trees in regions where they are urgently needed. So, your order makes you a tree sponsor, and every tree sponsor is incredibly important.
The organization collects the donations and simultaneously plants various partners of the organization Setzenbanges, which are then planted in the respective areas at the optimal time.
Where will the trees be planted?
We're often asked where exactly the donated trees are planted. The truth is, we want to help everywhere—but one at a time.
OneTreeplanted is now active and working to reforest key forests and areas with endangered species worldwide. The organization plants trees in areas where they are urgently needed.
At the end of the month, we choose which OnErereeplanted projects we want to support. When we started Livom, we donated your tree donations to reforestation efforts in the Amazon rainforest.
The Amazon rainforest stretches across nine countries and is home to 30% of the Earth's plant and animal species. Moreover, this region provides 20% of the oxygen we need to survive. For this reason, we have supported the "lungs of our planet" in the first few months.
However, there are many other countries and areas we want to serve with tree donations.
All Livom Tree donations are currently going to Spain-meer, specifically to the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve in the Basque Country, because reforestation is also urgently needed there. Soil erosion and soil loss are a major problem here, but the overall water cycle also needs to be improved through the planned planting.
So you see: your tree donation reaches exactly where it's needed. Depending on the area, the goal is not only to have a positive impact on biodiversity conservation, but also on society.
In some regions, for example, sustainable agroforestry and tree planting create important livelihoods and jobs. The positive impact of tree planting on society in the respective areas is another important reason, which is why we support ONETEPLANTED.
Why we like this project so much
Did you know that the world's forests provide habitat for more than 80% of terrestrial species? More than 80% of terrestrial plants and animals can therefore be found in our forests.
Forests are crucial for capturing CO2 and cleaning our air. To combat climate change, we need more trees. That's why it's so important for us to give back to Mother Nature. With every tree donation, you can contribute to stabilizing our climate.
